Effective January 1, 2011, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) will no longer offer residential indoor air quality training through the IAQ Program. Having met consumer and industry needs for residential IAQ training for over 14 years, CMHC recognizes that there is increased capacity within the residential sector to develop, deliver and maintain IAQ training courses that can more efficiently and effectively reach wider consumer and industry audiences. CMHC will explore opportunities to make its residential IAQ training course materials available through alternative delivery channels.

Participants moving through the Residential IAQ Investigators training will continue to receive field report evaluation services by course instructors until June 30, 2011 to ensure the completion of the field training phase. All field training reports will be reviewed at a set fee. Participants will also receive a certification of completion for the courses from CMHC should they complete their field training by June 30, 2011. Please send reports to:

Annonce de suppression des cours de formation en QAI des habitations offerts par la SCHL et du site Web lié à ces cours (www.iaq.qai.com)

À compter du 1er janvier 2011, la Société canadienne d’hypothèques et de logement (SCHL) n’offrira plus de cours de formation en qualité de l’air intérieur (QAI) des habitations par l’entremise du programme QAI. Pendant plus de 14 ans, la SCHL a offert des cours de formation en QAI des habitations à l’intention des consommateurs et de l’industrie. La SCHL constate que le secteur résidentiel a maintenant une plus grande capacité à l’égard de l’élaboration, de l’offre et de la prestation continue de cours de formation en QAI pouvant plus efficacement rejoindre un plus large public de consommateurs et de membres de l’industrie. La SCHL examinera les possibilités de mettre son matériel de formation en QAI des habitations à la disposition du public par l’intermédiaire d’autres canaux de distribution.

Les participants qui suivent actuellement la formation d’investigateur en QAI des habitations continueront de recevoir de la part des formateurs des services d’évaluation des rapports de formation sur le terrain, et ce, jusqu’au 30 juin 2011. Les participants pourront ainsi achever la phase de formation sur le terrain. Les rapports de formation sur le terrain seront évalués par un formateur moyennant un prix fixe. La SCHL fera parvenir un certificat de formation aux participants ayant achevé leur formation sur le terrain avant le 30 juin 2011. Vous êtes priés d’envoyer vos rapports à :

La SCHL souhaite profiter de l’occasion pour remercier toutes les personnes qui ont suivi les cours du programme QAI au fil des ans. La SCHL aimerait aussi saluer l’expertise et le dévouement des formateurs qui ont donné les cours dans toutes les régions du pays et qui ont contribué au maintien de cours de qualité. Leur contribution a permis de mettre en place une fondation solide pour améliorer la QAI des habitations au Canada.
